Still the argument is totally stupid.

The FTB-Modpack is a Modpack designed to work with the FTB-Maps. The FTB-Maps simply require EE in some form to work. Done.

And honestly it isn't any worse than UUM. There are some abuses left with Pulverizers, which you could actually change in the configs to behave differently. The only thing EE3 really does is getting the few ender-pearls you need to enter the End more easy. Everything else is more comfort like changing Sapplings or Dyes or completly useless like creating diamonds which are far easier to get by simply making a quarry (even with simply mining by hand you get a lot of them because Minecraft drowns you with XP so that fortune is simple to get).

MC isn't even balanced in the first place it is a sandbox game how are you supposed to balance a game that has everything in a nearly infinite amount.

One word: SMP

Two words: Another Server? (and SMP isn't really one word)

If people set up a server with EE3 because they propably want to have EE3 on their server than you are not in the position to tell them otherwise (well they will propably propose to look for another server). SMP is the same as SSP in this regards. Don't play with mods you don't like, which translates into: Don't play on servers with mods you don't like.

I just like to point out again what Bluehorazon said because I think that this is the point

MC isn't even balanced in the first place it is a sandbox game how are you supposed to balance a game that has everything in a nearly infinite amount.

Of course there are some exploits like infinite Blazepowder, but in a modpack thats not the fault of one mod, its always a crossmod exploit, so if you are searching someone to blame, blame the FTB team who made the pack or your admin who doesnt give a shit about configs.

I'd like to throw my $0.02 in and try to keep it concise. Yes, EE can make some things easier. Like building. When I'm building, I will quickly go through my minium stone as I play with wood types (do I want spruse? Or oak?). And I can't forget to mention the ability to change dyes so that all of my xycraft blocks are the same color in each room. Yes, I could go out and cut down an entire forest of trees to find the wood that I want. And I do have more flowers than I could dream of with all those bees (seriously, who would ever want a pollination rate of less than "slowest"?) but EE makes it easier for me to decorate my humble abode as I see fit.

And that's my playstyle. Not because I want "E-Z mode". But because when I'm in the mood to build, I want to build. And I want to minimize distractions to my building, such as having to go out and hunt for a different type of wood.

I won't deny that some people like to use EE to make things easier. How much easier they make them depends on their play style. But isn't that the point of Minecraft? Some people like to build and play in creative mode. I build in survival mode. It's all about the playstyle. The point of a sandbox game is that you play how you want to play. You do what you want to do. And honestly, if things are too easy, then you get bored and it's really all on you. The only exception to this might be on PvP servers, which I tend to avoid anyway. But the way I see it, unless my playstyle is harming or endangering or harrassing someone else, I should be free to play that way.

They are not OP, they take more enderpearls for more features.
4 Ender Pearls, a diamond, various other less-expensive resources, and 10000MJ to melt the pearls plus the little bit of power needed to run the Liquid Transposer. You could build four Ender Tanks with those pearls (without requiring a diamond or any MJ at all), so of course Tesseracts are more powerful. They cost a whole lot more. Ender Storage and Tesseracts occupy two completely different tiers of expense, and thus two completely different tiers of utility.

Also, lol @ thread. This has gotta be the fifth or sixth "EE3 is too OP" thread I've seen in the past week. If you really don't want to use EE3, remove it or disable it yourself. It's not exactly difficult to do so. If you play SMP, just go play MindCrack. It doesn't have EE3, last I checked. Or get together with the many other people complaining about EE3, and go start your own server with EE3 disabled. There are tons of options that are more useful than complaining on the forums about "balance."

Personally, I don't think there's such a thing as "too OP" in a noncompetitive sandbox game. Unless you're actually competing against someone for whatever reason, who cares what's OP and what isn't? If EE3 makes things too easy for you, just dump your Minium Stone in lava and be done with it. Set up your sorting system to destroy all the Minium you put into it. Who cares whether other people use EE3? Their success or failure shouldn't matter to you unless it directly affects you in some way.

It's often easier to argue and try and get the modpack changed than to find a server with the exact setup you want.
Then do so. Do not punish every other person that enjoys the mod. Otherwise play SSP for complete control over your restrictions.

8 Pages of comments caused by a simple argument? I posted a simple and fast answer A LONG TIME AGO.

Btw I don't mind EE3 being in the modpack.

I thought you were referencing getting a specific server's modpack changed in which case your post was valid. If you mean the modpacks from FTB then you're sadly mistaken.

In this case, it's not. Out of curiosity I searched "FTB Ultimate server EE3 disabled" on Google and came up with a whole bunch of results that sound exactly like what the OP seems to want. Boom. Done. It's taken me more time to type this short post than it did to find a whole list of servers that fit the OP's needs.

Greg nerfed it. It's now even less common than Iridium Ore.
I hear that if you have Tinker's Construct installed as well as GT, that you need to use TConstruct's Smelter to combine iridium and an alumite-manyullyn alloy (4 alumite to 12 manyullyn) in a 16:16 ratio to get one self-control ingot.

Is that better than the intelligence ingot? I heard it is hard to get.

Intelligent ingots only come from Creative Bees. Which you can only get by breeding Scholarly Bees with Jaded Bees to get Creative Combs. And then when you centrifuge them, you have a 0.25% of getting a Creativity Drop. Which you smelt into an Intelligent Ingot.

(Note: 'Creative', in the context of this post, does not mean the Minecraft game mode.)

Wow, that seems pretty hard to get. Good thing ole' GT fixed the old creativity bug. Seemed everyone had it. I have past those bees in the past but did you see the new change log?
Code:
Change log for 2.0.13
-Added the #
-Added the "swag" machine
-Added the "yolo" ingot.
This update is sort-of a joke from The Inter-Webs.

i always thought that Intelligence was a theoretical concept. Or a myth at best. Like patients and moderation.
