Energy Tesseracts - Shiny Metal

I'm making a turtle mining well quarry because I'm tired of havin to constantly setup/re-setup more quarrys to get enough redstone for the chrome I need. In Direwolf20's tutorial, he uses a shiny metal dust to make the tesseract remember it's settings. I play on a private pack, but it's similar to FTB unhinged, is there a replacement to the shiny dust, since gregtech replaces all it's recipes with platnium dust?

You could try putting some platinum ore through the forge lexicon.

Also a witch farm is another good redstone source (and other stuff too)

You could try putting the platinum dust in a Unifier. If that doesn't work, try the Forge Lexicon. If the Forge Lexicon won't let you change it, you'll have to edit the Forge Lexicon's whitelist in the config folder and add "dustPlatinum" to it.

I think if you break them with a pick the ownership setting gets a reset.
