All I wanted was a lightweight alternative to Thermal Expansion...

And now, I see that instead of breaking, since the last EnderIO update, mob spawners are now dropping as "Broken Spawners".

If I wanted this kind of rubbish, id have installed MFR :/

What did you expect them to drop besides experience? Are you using Soul Shards 2 or what?

Usually I'd expect people to be happy when they have more options for things.
I have no idea how these work because I haven't bothered with 1.7.2 yet and EIO barely describes anything in its changelogs, but you don't have to use them, you know.

\config\enderio\EnderIO.cfg

Search for (should be around line 356 if you're using the recommended 1.1.alpha.114 release like I am, but powered spawners were put in in 1.1.alpha.111 so it may indeed vary a little):

Code:
    # The chance a brokne spawner will be dropped when a spawner is broken. 1 = 100% chance, 0 = 0% chance
    D:brokenSpawnerDropChance=1.0

Set to 0. Bam, no more broken spawners dropping.

Isn't this current age where mods include configs for that kind of stuff wonderful?

But...that requires looking into configs. As we all know, looking at configs is the number one cause of satanism in America.

Found it.
Now I just need to seek around *again* for a lightweight mod that adds RF generation, without loads of other unbalancing features coming along for the ride.

On a related note: I just enchanted a book, and got multiple enchants on it. I'm sure that's not vanilla functionality, any ideas on which mod adds that?
Between:
Applied Energistics 2
Archimedes Ships
Barrels
Bibliocraft
Blood Magic
Weeping Angles + COG Core
Craftguide
Doomlike Dungeons
EnderIO
HopperDucts
InfernalMobs
IronChest
MrCrayfishFurniture
Mystcraft
Roguelike Dungeons
Ruins
Thaumcraft + Baubles
Twilight Forest

Oooo.
I thought I had yet-another misbehaving mod submarining in unwanted "features".

My annoyance with EnderIO is not in the spawners dropping, and as I also see, the sudden appearance of mob heads dropping. Its the way the features are ancillary to the mods main functionality, and I need to trawl through the configs searching for which mod might have caused this change.

COFH Core has had that functionality for ages. Do you have COFH Core?

Ironically, the *reason* I switched to EnderIO in my modpack was to get away from the myriad of world altering features COFH Core has/adds. I just wanted an RF framework. Well, I am also on 1.7 and TE hasn't been ported (publically) yet.

RF was never included in TE3 itself, the framework was always in COFH Core. You likely have it. And if not, you may have a config for it regardless.

Extra Utilities has RF generators but I guess you don't want all its stuff. Well you can disable the recipes.
