My nephew doesn't have an account here, so I am asking on his behalf. How does he get ender pearls whilst playing on peaceful since he doesn't have access to The End yet? Do keep in mind that he hasn't had much luck finding ender lily seeds yet.

Depends on the mods you have. If you have ExtraUtils installed, the EnderLilly is a good way. You can (rarely) find them as dungeon chest loot. They CAN be planted on regular ol' ordinary dirt, then when you get a couple of enderpearls you can make End Stone (smeltery is the easiest way I believe) and they will run much faster, plus have a VERY small (2%) chance of producing a second seed.
Hmm I never tried it but I always understood that if you placed it in the end it just gave all End pearls. Same as if you put it in the nether, then it drops loot based on the mobs that are usually there. But you should still get ender pearls in overworld I think.
You can also trade with villagers for Eyes of Ender btw. Not sure which villagers that offers them, but seem it pop up now and then when I browse through loads of villagers with my MFR autospawner setup.
It should make some ender pearls in the overworld, but seeing as the Endermen are fairly rare in the overworld, and they aren't guaranteed to drop pearls, it won't be that often. You can improve the odds by using a Looting Enchanting Sword should it spawn an Enderman. (Sharpness and Unbreaking will help the sword last longer.)
I'm pretty sure the peaceful table will give you ender pearls, bit daft if it didn't... How would you make Eyes of Ender to find and activate the portal?
the table doesnt have to be in the end to get ender pearls. just tested and got several pearls, not as quick as the rest of the items but you get them
I'll pass the information on to him. Wonder why he goes on peaceful, but he is a young one. I think many aspects of the game are harder on peaceful, and this is one of them.
I can see several reason behind it: don't want to die, just want to left alone to build, don't want stuff destroyed.
But yeah so many things in mods are tied into playing survival. If not then I probably would just play on peaceful(really doesnt make much difference to how I play now tbh: Op armour, Magnum torches everywhere etc.). Maybe if you give him the alternative of disabling mobGriefing and maybe keeping inventory on death it will be a better alternative to peaceful.
Is that really so? It's still not strictly impossible, though. You can find ender pearls in chests in a Stronghold.

Or ender lilly seeds in dungeons... Although if you had ender lilly seeds you wouldn't need a table...
Well is that really a problem now that ExU also offers Ender Lilies and every dungeon/abandoned mine/totem circle/nether fortress/whatever is unguarded?
I find it cool that there is a little progression game there, tied to exploration.
