Ender pearl/lily generation nerfed in Infinity?

So I've been playing along for awhile now and usually by this point I've got a handful of seeds. I can usually fly out at night and find endermen and hover and whack em in the head after staring at them and get a decent amount of pearls in an evening. I can also usually go exploring for a few days and find spawner trees and fnd some seeds and pearls.

Instead, Endermen won't even attack me after staring at them, the few I have been able to kill aren't dropping any ender pearls even with a looting 2 sword, spider spawner trees are few and far between and so far havent yielded any pearls or seeds and neither have any dungeons or chests I've found.

So I'm starting to think the ender generation has been severely nerfed in the latest version of Infinity. Anyone else finding same issue?

Did you add any mods to your mod pack?

If you need pearls badly I suggest finding a stronghold. It only took 3 eyes of ender for me and I use a mystcraft link book to get back to the over world. There are lilies everywhere in The End.

No, I didnt add any mods. I just went exploring for about 2 MC weeks and found 5 lilies and 5 ender pearls, most of the few spider trees i found had total crap in them. I still am unable to kill any endermen, I'm bewildered why endermen wont attack. Yes, I'm aware of stronghold/the end. I'm a many time over solo Dragon slayer, including multiple summons using Draconic evolution. The problem is, besides the several eyes of ender to find stronghold, theres the 6-9 you will need for the portal. I dont go looking for a stronghold with less than a stack of eye of ender.

The issue is that not only are there endermen but there are mini-endermen that are half a block tall. You might have missed them but if you go to any forest biome you will see them spawn there. They attack creepers on sight. They drop pearl fragments which can be made into pearls.

I have yet to see an enderminnie in Infinity. Direwolf yes, they rove in packs. You better be armored up good before you take a whack at one lol,

Your not looking in the right biomes. I have to travel really really REALLY far to get them to spawn.

If your standing in one general area then yes they are really hard to find. At most I had 3 Endermen spawn near my base on one night. I have gone days without finding one. I needed to get an Enderman head for EnderIO and it took me about an hour or more to find an enderman. I took it to myself to make a Cursed Earth mob spawner and find the End to mitigate this issue. I did find Endermen but it took a lot of exploring and I never found one on some nights.

Is 5000 blocks enough? In my Direwolf game they are spawning in my base. and all around it.

It's not a lack of endermen per say, it that the ones I have been able to kill aren't dropping pearls even with looting 2. Granted I've been lazy and haven't upgraded sword to looting 3, but in my experience over about a couple dozen games I should at least be least be getting 1 pearl every so often, Additionally, the endermen won't agro on me, they start looking mad, then go the other way, that is not normal at all. It just really feels like ender pearl and seed generation has been nerfed.

I have gone wayyyyy farther than 5000 blocks. I had such bad luck too. Switch to "The Ender" from EnderIO. I found one in a chest. It has certain upgrades that are EnderIO specific. It also stops endermen from teleporting once you hit them. I have no idea why you don't get agro but I had that issue where Endermen wouldn't attack me either. I am on 1.5.1 and I don't have that issue anymore.

Once you upgrade The Ender, it will also guarantee at least one ender pearl drop on kill.

I've compared a fully upgraded ender with a looting 3 sword in another game and didn't notice any difference in drops, but I'll give it a shot. I do like to use the ender in killer joe and an attraction obelisk in the end. Lots of xp and pearls.

Ok, I did finally run in to an enderminnie. I heard one underground as I was running along, so I stopped and dug down, it dod not drop a pearl :/. I've also been finding more ender-lillyies, mostly in those big dungeons that are under a hill of cursed earth, but those don't seem to generate often either. Still not seeing anywhere near as many endermen as usual. I have upgraded the ender now and will try that on next one i find. As it is, with 15 lillies I should be able to go to the end soon.

The Loonium from botania gave me over a stack of ender lilly seeds from about 10 pools worth of mana + a lot of pearls.

Indeed. The Loonium is the best source of dungeon loot if you can keep it fed. I have more lilies than I have a use for.

I will have to look in to this Loonium. However I usually end up with over 75 lillies once I get to the end, and those will drop 3-5 more every time I harvest, so having 100 lillies happens quickly. And setting up an attraction obelisk and killer joe in the end nets pearls in stacks and stacks and stacks...

On my Infinity server where me and my friends have set up our bases, we've got plenty of Endermen and Enderminnies. I can get 6 - 8 enderpearls a night. Even more now I have a looting sword.

You have to kill the dragon for that though. Which isn't that hard if you can fly and have a good bow, but I tend to have the elven tier in Botania unlocked long before I have a good (!) jetpack or something else I can fly with.

Killing dragon has become rather easy. Fluxed armor. Tier 3 jetpack ( ithink enderium/resonant is 4) Flux bow. Tinkers sword with 24 attack. It was something I never did in vanilla and I've thought it might be fun to go try now that I know some things.
