I'm looking for some input on what people think the best endgame armor is. Currently I'm torn between Thaumcraft's Void armor loaded with enchantments, Tinker's Exo-Armor (fully upgraded with either plates or extra hearts) also loaded with the same enchantments, and Modular Powersuits.

I'm not worries about things like flight, falling damage, or fire thanks to Advanced Genetics. Just trying to get the armor that is going to last the longest (preferably with auto repair) and take the most punishment.

What do you guys think is the best end game armor? (Also, I'm not considering Thaumic Tinker Kami stuff

I never used void armor or exo armor. What about Blood Magic armor? It might be better than MPS in terms of damage negation and it can be charged remotely unlike MPS (EnderIO's wireless charger only has this much of a range)

I forgot about Blood magic Armor. I really like it, but I like it more for it's utility than it's protection (I love the idea of using Sigil of the dome in the Nether). Also, tbh I'm not really sold on MPS...only thing I like about it is the speed, but I can just get that using baubles and other enchants.

Another candidate would be Botania's Terrasteel armor with enchants. You can wear a bauble that stores mana and one that passively generates mana.

I find it a hard choice between Bontania's Terrasteel armor and Blood Magic Bound Armor. The Bound Armor looks better imo, but I've had better luck enchanting the Terrasteel Armor. The difference between the two, in regards to protection, is hard to call. Bound Armor has more options for resistances to fire and falling damage. Terrasteel Armor requires less infrastructure to use when combined with the two baubles that generate and store mana.

I've kinda lost interest in MPS armor for anything other then some of the utility features on the power tool. Utilities like the leaf blower and Lux capacitors.

MPS still has some things going for it: cheaper than Blood Magic armor if you don't want to sink hours into making slates, and the ability to toggle the individual addons with keybinds.

I mean, the sigil of the green grove on my blood armor is awesome, but when working on my farms I'd really like to toggle it off to avoid getting smothered by growing tree trunks all the time.
The same goes for night vision; it is much easier (at least for me) to find aura nodes in the darkness, but while spelunking night vision is a must have.

Endgame armors... Thaumic Tinker Kami's awakened armor is THE endgame armor. I have neither seen nor herd of anything better or more expensive.
Second would be Botania's Terrasteel armor. Potentially indestructible with steady mana, an enormous hp boost, and iirc high enchantability(?).

The best armor would probably be a mixture of different armors. Though finding what the best combination is, is next to impossible. With so many baubles and XU wings, there's just so many things that you don't really need armor to do.

Actually, I think Kami armor does let a bit of damage through. Not sure what type of damage can penetrate that stuff, though.

Apparently the new Redstone Flux armor can negate a whole lotta damage; people say it's terribly OP. Idunno for sure.
IIRC, Bound Armor, in the latest version, can negate 100% of damage when it's fully upgraded. That plus sigils basically means, as long as you have LP, you're good to go. Also, baubles can be used for great effect.
Personally, I prefer TiC/MPS armor because it's easier to get together early game, but when a better set becomes available, that's what I'd use. *terrasteel hint hint*

Wasn't the RF armor just OP if you enchant it (which you are not supposed to be able to do)?

Yeah, bound armor is quite nice in terms of damage reduction, and getting a stable supply of LP at least lets you set up something apart from your big power supply.

When I used it last it just took all damage and turned that into negative RF on the charges of the pieces... so like MPS full energy shields iirc.

I just got the thaumium fortress armor loaded up with enchants using the enchanter from thaumic tinkerer. It is very nice. I have forbidden magic and thaumic explorer in my pack, so it adds a few more enchants.

I have ended up with night vision on my helm, which has been awesome. That along with aqua affinity, and respiration allows me to easily mine the sea and river bottoms for clay. The dark blue swirls were a little annoying at first, but not needing to carry a boat load of torches and to easily scan the whole area for mobs, has made things nice and possibly a bit too easy in some respects.

I have boots of the traveller with the slow fall enchant (I did not place haste on my boots as that would have made them unusable for anything but travel), and have paired that with the sword of the zephyr as my main weapon. The sword allows for limited flight where needed. If I need to fly a long distance, I can use the uprising wand focus. One note I have discovered. On your armor, it is all well and good to add in the repair enchant. On the sword of the zephyr however, use unbreaking III instead. When flying using the sword, you stop momentarily every time the sword gets repaired. Unbreaking III allows the sword to last a lot longer and doesn't create the annoying pauses in your flight. It can be repaired in the thaumic restorer when needed for the cost of some instrumentum.
