I've been through at least 2,000 Enchantable books looking for the Enchants I want, and Modded Enchants are filling up my inventories. It was already a low probability of getting the vanilla enchants you wanted, but it's just that much more irritating and time consuming when there's an extra 10 possible enchants you can get. I'm not even sure I can get Efficiency 4 on a book anymore... I really wish there was a different way to get those Enchants specifically for mods in a modded enchantment table block. I really don't want to spend 6 hours looking for Silk touch, or Infinity. (Yes I know level 24 works best, but It doesn't matter if it requires any less amount of experience. You're still wasting books and time getting the Enchants you want).

There's a mod that shows you what each enchantment is so you can pick the right one for you.

I got every enchant I needed within 80-200 books. The only one I haven't gotten is Haste III, but that's to be expected.

At any rate, this has always been the issue with enchants.

2000 books eh?

Random most hate you. Most times it only takes about two to three stacks to get everything I need.

Unless your looking for silk touch thats just trolly but easier to find it you limit yourself to level 18 enchants.

You might as well enchant the correct tool directly at this stage...

I mean, 2000 leather, even with a cow spawner and fortune, it's a lot. Half a stack of diamonds could be a bit cheaper, depending on how you did things.

you can't get some levels of enchantments on a book straight out of the enchantment table, the only way to get some of the higher level enchantments on books is to combine two books of the same enchantment and level in the anvil.

Please check if, in those 2000 books, you have the enchantment you want at a low level and if so combine them to get the level you want.

Otherwise I do have to say that I agree, it is harder and it does make me miss the Occult Enchanter from TC2. (Or whatever it was)
