Helllo FTB Forums,
My first post here so I hope it lands correctly.

I'm currently playing on a FTB server with the DW20 modpack installed.
This means the new AE stuff is not here, including the Fuzzy Export/Import bus.

I've made a huge Tier 5 spawn with Skele's Pigmans and more "creatures".
The problem is that these mobs drop a lot of junk, like Swords, Bows, armor etc.
I want to get rid of this from my ME system. I've been able to get all non-enchanted stuff away, but the enchanted stuff still stays in there.
I can't find a solution for my problem and hope you can help me!
I've realised that i can't solve this with just AE and I do understand that other mods and stuff must be implented, but how?

I have everything piped (pneumo tubes, cause I collect with transposers) to a iron chest and then imported from there. Inbetween the pick up and chest have a RP filter grabbing all the stone swords, bows, and other crap you dont want and shoot it into a lava block. Fancy ways to do that, either cover strips to hold it in place, or a Xy liquid void to hold it up. The gold stuff I grab out and use an uncrafting bench to make into ingots. Though at a certain point, I just started voiding that too as it was a bother and largely unnecessary after you are well established.
You could use obsidian pipes and diamond/void pipes on the way if you prefer.

Hey
Thanks for your reply!

Could you please do a more explained version with the part between the Transposers and the Iron chest.
A picture would be lovely if possible!
I cant get items to travel through/check if they can the filter first, and the proceed to the chest.

I have a 8x8 spawn room with water source at the back and spawner in the middle. Water pushes items and mobs to the waiting arms of a row of turtles running turtle.attack in a loop. A line of transposers are in the floor just in fornt of the turtles and I have filled up the turtles inventory with cobble so they cant pick anything up. I use stairs behind the turtles so nothing gets kicked backbehind them and I can easily stand at the top and watch the ensuing carnage and exp flows to me. Beneather the transposers is a line of pneumatic tube that runs out to chests/barrels/whatever inventory. Off that line sits a Filter that is pointing to a lava block held in place by a Xy Liquid Void below it (though I have used cover strips as well to keep it from flowing). In the Filter I have placed the things I dont want. Stone swords, bows, etc. Up to nine items. The pneumatic tubes are smart and send things to the nearest valid inventory. Filter is valid, there they go. Make sure you have the filter screw drivered to be pointing right. If using barrels, the location of the filter doesnt matter as much as all the barrels should have something in them that makes them invalid destinations. If Using chests, put the filter first in the line or use a restriction tube (which the tubes treat as 250 blocks away making the filter the "nearest" valid inventory). From that setup, you can slap import or storage buses on the chest or on all the barrels you want the AE system to access.
You could use BC pipes just as easy. Instead of transposers, use obsidian pipes that lead to a chest/barrel/inventory. On the way to that inventory, stick a diamond pipe in the route and filter the items you don't want to one side into a void pipe. If you have more items you want to void past what the diamond can filter, slap a second one on after that to catch the other things as that move past the first.
End of the work week, so hopefully that made sense.

Nice thing about filters is they ignore NBT data. Swords and bows come out with different durability, but filters dont really care. They ignore everything after the initial ID. So 145 is the same as 145:34. Everything after the colon being the durability data. Unsure if diamond pipes are that flexible. Never used them for that, I was just guessing that is how it would work. :) Worth testing if you are partial to BC pipes though.

Thank you very much for the help!
My setup is now working perfectly! :D

A bit late, but you could use a diamond pipe to direct wanted stuff to your ME network, and leave an output with no items (default route for everything else) leading to a void pipe.
Code:
[incoming pipe][diamond pipe][ME interface]
                 [void pipe]

Always good for others that haves the same problem and finds this thread.
It gives them more options to use what they are more comfortable with!
Thanks to you both!
