Does anyone know how to change the permsize in multicraft? Apparently changing either the .bat and .sh files doesn't make a difference because I was told that multicraft doesn't use those to run the server. I am getting Permgen errors and the server is crashing which is apparently a common problem with the large modpacks but I am unable to find info to help me.

I put in a support ticket with my host (Exodus) asking the same question. Their response was that there is no way to change in with Multicraft.
My host had me rename the ftb .jar file to a craftbukkit one and then select the craft bukkit from their launcher option as that one already has the Permsize set.
So its using a craftbukkit startup bat but is still running the ftbunleahsed jar file.
Mine has been stable ever since.

You will have to ask your host if they have a similar option or if the can customise yours on the backend.

Thanks Gerald for the reply. I will definitely give that a try. My host told me that they allow custom jars to be used and using the craftbukkit one wouldn't make a difference but they could be wrong. They told me that they edited the startup memory to around 1GB which I know is overkill but even with the startup memory at that I am still getting Permgen Space errors. This is making me think that the startup memory isn't the Multicraft equivalent of permsize in the start scripts. I don't really have the slightest clue what else to do at this point and looking around the internet for similar problems has not been fruitful.

Okay I now have a .jar.conf file in my FTP directory right under my FTBUnleashed.jar. This is what it looks like right now: http://pastebin.com/be0CmJUS

I am still getting a PermGen space error with this. Here is the server log leading up to the crash: http://pastebin.com/LFiPTndX

I am wondering if that .jar.conf files is set up incorrectly.

*also tried the craftbukkit.jar idea and that didn't seem to work either.

I don't think a .jar.conf file is looked at by the startup. But I could be wrong, only your host can answer that.
You are correct in that increasing the memory to 1Gb is not the same as adding the Permgen settings.
I did not mean for you to use a craftbukkit jar i my original post. It's just that on my particular host they have mulicraft setup that if it sees you using craftbukkit2383.jar then it uses a different startup parameter that actually has the permgen line in it. If I leave it on "default" then it uses the vanilla startup without permgen.

Initially on my host I had the drop down on "default" and the custom jar file was FTBServer.jar
Based on their recommendation I changed my dropdown to Mod: Crafbukkit Build Beta 2383 (1.6.2)
Then renamed my ftbserver.jar to craftbukkit2383.jar via ftp and then changed the custom jar file line to read craftbukkit2383.jar
This was their workaround for tricking the server into using their crafrbukkit startup config with the extra permgen yet still use FTB's jar file even though its been renamed.

Maybe check with your host if they have additional craftbukkit startup parameters and you may be able to do something similar.
