Easier way to deal with ID conflicts?

sorry if this been discussed alot already but the worst time for me is setting up a new server and dealing with all those ID conflicts

is there an easier way than just launching up the server finding the new id conflict stopping it manually changing it and then starting it up again to find out the next id conflict?

This is the best way I know of
While finding the block conflicts is just that procedure, assigning them to a new one is a little easier than random guessing (which is what I started out as)

ya thats what im doing but if your trying to add 10-15 more mods on top of an existing mod pack this can last for hours

also you could download the idfix minus mod, its very easy to use(place it in the mod folder, and run the pack) and it does a lot of the work for you, if not all of it. if you want a quick fix to it use that mod
