Windows .exe DW20 updating problems

Recently I've been having problems with a "Ticking Screen" error so i decided to uninstall everything to do with ftb. Doing this must have caused something to go wrong because when i tried to launch direwolf20 modpack it updated (as i expected ) and then froze all progress with the download. If anyone has any knowledge on how to fix this or anything of the sort please let me know.

So i did all these steps and the problem still occurs, however it is not so much now with updating, just the ticking screen. Any help would be greatly apreciated
