G'day everyone,
Just wanted to share something with you all.
I was playing Monster recently to try out some new mods, and really found myself enjoying Rotarycraft.
Admittedly I can completely understand why Monster is not really a pack designed to be "played" per se.
So I wen't back to the Direwolf20 pack, and with me I brought Rotarycraft.
I had a few issues getting it to work, but it did in the end, and I thought I'd share with you a quick tip on how to get it working.
Firstly, I'm running DW20 v1.0.14 as a server, so I downloaded it again to be able to start with everything fresh.
I then went and made sure the configs for Rotarycraft were present in the server folder. They were. (No changes required to any configs)
I went into the Monster pack, and copied Rotarycraft from there and pasted it straight into the server mod folder.
Having tried to run that, the log informed me I required DragonAPI to be able to run, so I also copied DragonAPI from monster into the server mod folder.
Client side I opened the launcher, clicked on "Edit Mod Pack" went into the Monster mods folder and simply grabbed DragonAPI and RotaryCraft from there.
It ran fine, but then I found an issue where if I pressed the "U" key in NEI, the client would crash completely. This was client side and not server side as I had another person do the same thing and their client crashed but the server continued to run fine.
I am no good at reading crash logs, so I did some googling, and found that by removing qCraft, this MIGHT fix the problem. I removed qCraft and viola, everything is working perfectly. I did not have to restart my world after removing qCraft, but I'm not sure what will happen to the ores that used to be there, whether they'll be retrogenned, or not. The QuantumOre I had mined and had in chests simply vanished. I don't see this as an issue personally, because for me qCraft is a neat toy, but I hardly use it and would rather play with RoC.
So anyway I disabled qCraft client side, and deleted the mod from the server mod folder.
Everything seems to be running perfectly.
Just thought I'd share incase some of you wanted to get RotaryCraft into the DW20 pack.
Cheers,
Kwe.
EDIT:
I can confirm that the non-mined Quantum Ore in the world simply vanishes and leaves holes where it used to be.
