I've been having issues with using buildcraft wrenches in the DW20 pack (mostly). Wonder if anyone else is having similar issues.

I removed IC2 and the related mods, so I've just got Forestry/TE/BC running right now for tech mods, but I setup a simple starting location with a steam engine feeding into a wood pipe to the powered furnace and pulverizer. The problems started when I tried to move the pulverizer and couldn't with a shift-rightclick of the bc wrench (the iron and stone gear one), nor the other included wrench (the bronze one).

A few minutes later I tried to reorient the wooden pipe and that didn't work either. Anyone else see anything similar? Do I need to cough up the diamonds for an omnitool in order to do what I want?

Try a Crescent Hammer on the Pulverizer. If you can't uproot it with that (it's the TE wrench), then you do have a serious problem.

I just did some more checking and I think something might be messed up with the TE interaction. Equivalent tests were performed in the Mindcrack (v4) pack, DW20 (v2) pack, and the FTBBeta A (v12) pack.

Performed the following steps in creative:

Add a steam engine (TE), powered furnace, wooden conductive pipe, and buildcraft wrench (and later crescent hammer) to inventory.
Place the steam engine (it should place with the output up), shift click the wooden pipe onto the engine, jump and place the powered furnace on the pipe. The output direction on the pipe is toward the steam engine in both the DW20 pack and the MC pack. It's away from the engine in the FTB Beta A pack.

Using the wrench will rotate the powered furnace, but shift clicking will not remove it, and clicking, right clicking, and shiftclicking the pipe has no effect in the new packs. Everything works as expected in the FTB Beta A pack.

Replace the pieces with a peat engine and a fermenter and it works perfectly. Asked a friend to check on their install. Same results.

Guess I'm going to have to get over to the TE forums and report it there.

Yeah, the Crescent Hammer works. I was having that issue as well and just caved and made a crescent.

Neither the crescent hammer nor the prototype omniwrench will allow you to change the orientation of the wooden pipe attached to a steam engine. It does let you sneak-click to remove stuff though. That's a big plus.

I assumed the mod author did it on purpose since there was no reason to ever make his wrench over the plain old buildcraft one. Was it just a bug?

Apparently I was on crack or something. The wooden pipe issue doesn't seem to be an issue. using a crescent hammer resolves the sneak-click issue.
