FTB Launcher version (if this isn't the newest update update and try again): FTB Launcher v1.2.2
Minecraft Version: Direwolf20 Modpack v1.4.7
Java version: v1.6.0_37
Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated: Could play fine at 55-60 FPS for the first 5-10 minutes(give or take) and then it start spiking to 0 FPS and back up, finally the game freezes and it takes me to a 'Shutting down internal server' error which i normally have to force quit the whole FTB...
Error logs:
  1. 2013-02-21 13:56:06 [SEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] The ForgeModLoader state engine has become corrupted. Probably, a state was missed by and invalid modification to a base classForgeModLoader depends on. This is a critical error and not recoverable. Investigate any modifications to base classes outside ofForgeModLoader, especially Optifine, to see if there are fixes available.

I kind of have the 'exact' same problem. I'm on Mac OS X 10.8.2. The biggest and weirdest difference is that my console gives me NO errors when "crashing", as it basically just freezes while showing the 'Shutting down internal server' message on the dirt background. NO crashlog, NO errors in console except for the world leaking messages after player for about 30 seconds. Then I'm fine for about 5-10minutes, just like the OP.

As to the posted solution, adding "-XX:permSize=128m" to my .command file which I use to open ftb_launcher.jar in java 1.6 instead of 7, made no difference for me.

Another very important thing I need to add is that my game works absolutely fine when starting a new world, only my existing world has this problem. I tried removing my single turtle, but that sadly didn't help either.

Really hope that i could help you but i've got no idea..
Though i'm pretty sure the 'leaking world' is of no part in the crashing because after fixing my problem, i still get the 'leaking world' but i can still play on 55+ FPS..
