I am making a 52x52x50 marble room because I heard that stuff like that would make it more likely to spawn ghasts, however is there a better way to make the room because I can already see that pigmen are spawning too and might take up the space needed for ghasts to spawn.

As for the endermen, I am imagining making a 9x9x52 [killing height for endermen is ... 42 right?] But i don't know if that will work fully.

Ofcource I do NOT have soul shards for either just yet, but I wanted to make sure things worked properly and really like regen potions and ghast tears and i need enderpearls.

Despite popular belief ghasts still need a flat surface to spawn (they won't appear in mid-air) so you should divide your room into floors with 4-5 high ceilings; otherwise you waste about 85 percent of the space.

Twilight forest "dark towers" have mini ghast spawners in them, much easier and faster to farm them that way.

I'm confused about your enderman spawner. Are you talking about when you actually have the soul shard for them? If so, you can just fill the bottom of the room with water, rather than make a skyscraper. If you don't have a shard, you're going to need to make that thing in the End, otherwise you'll just spawn random mobs. Also, just out of curiosity, while I might enjoy the challenge of an enderman farm, wouldn't be easier just to make the pearls with EE3?

They teleport away when they land in water, so you'd have to fill in all of the air blocks for some huge distance (like 30 in every direction or something)
A better solution would be EBXL quicksand :)

Last night I just made my enderman/blaze kill room. It's a 12x12x12 cube (xycraft tank size), The floor is Viewer glass (8 Glass + 1 iron in middle of grid), the walls just stone brick. The spawners are in the middle one block down from the ceiling. Three blocks up from the floor is a layer of quicksand. I can walk under the quicksand to collect the drops until I get a wood golem going. Or use obsidian pipes I guess instead of viewer glass. Sheesh, should have done that. :) I really need to do my thaumcraft.

Anyhow, they're both tier-5 spawners. They all spawn, drop into the quicksand, slowly sink, and die. Had to turn them off after about 20 minutes of running - so noisy!!! :)

Anyhow, I love quicksand for this sort of thing, the endermen can't teleport away in it and if they manage to survive long enough for their feet to touch the actual floor - it's viewer (not an opaque block, so they can't teleport on the stuff).

Thanks for talking about quicksand, I used that in my enderman farm and it worked flawlessly :D [...the height was at least 50 but it wasent enough to kill... maybe some modification i made messed it up... oh well the quicksand saved the day!]
