What am I doing wrong, I'm about to just give up, I got lucky with my main base in having a not so bad instability mechanic on it and the fact that its a void age so nothing too terrible has happened yet...
This is my setup right here:
autum woods
single biome
normal sun
normal moon
normal stars
huge trees
villages
star fissure
crystals
standard lighting
standard terrain
no weather
[Edit: Already looked at guides, which showed me the order but I am heavily confused atm.]

Try slapping Clear Modifiers at the end.

I don't know why, but I can never seem to get a stable age without it at the end. Not sure if that's intended, or a bug.

Don't forget some special modifiers guarantee corruption. EG Dense ore and that fast growing one. Not sure what Star fissure and crystals do.

Star Fissures and Crystals are features, i think. Star Fissures are natural occurrences that allow transportation back to the overworld in case you get stuck, and crystals are what you use to make the mystcraft portals.

I don't think that either cause instability.

You could also try throwing in some weather, color, and more specific celestial symbol phrases (i.e. North, Noon, Zero Length, Normal Sun/Normal Moon)...
Take a look through all the symbols that you have, and if you see anything that could be assigned automatically, slap it in there. You've got villages, crystals, and a star fissure; try throwing in a few more features, such as <Insert Block Here, so long as it's something mundane> Tendrils, (lava) Lakes, or Caves.
I'm fairly sure that lava lakes have the advantage that they'll spawn volcanoes, if you want those.

Or, throw an unstable descriptive book in your writing desk and directly copy all the symbols, in order, into an new book. You might get different sorts of instability that way.
Also, if you don't mind living with, say, Meteors, constant lightning, or Spontaneous Explosions, you could throw some of those symbols in, as they will reduce other kinds of instability.
But, yeah, Clear Modifiers at the end helps when you don't know exactly what you're doing.

Thanks for this suggestion, The second one really worked, though I didn't need to put meteors, constant lightning or even spontaneous explosions. I wish things were a bit more... defined with this system instead of needing to know exactly what the mod needs in the correct order without needing to either get lucky or go online ...
