infusion setup.png

Thats my new setup, i used to only just use candles. Then i moved on and used the heads of zombies and for this newest thing I started using crystal clusters and nitor.

I think this is the best setup i've had with the tiny space I've given myself.

My question is, is there a even better way? Being honest I am moving onto the final researches into Thaumic Tinkerer, Kami, trying to get the tools/armor from there and I am rather nervous as [this was before I added the Crystal Clusters and Nitor] I had a few instances that were quite rocky and now the stuff farther ahead appears to be dangerous and use very expensive materials so I'm trying to minimalism the risk.

Make a layer under the table (2 blocks so they are under the floor and hidden) and fill it with tallow candles. All items(heads, candles) do the same buff to infusion by decreasing chance of instability with more of them.

Didn't realize that that would Effect the table, thanks! :D

Mine's gonna be set up to cause instability events more often, but with orderly lamps nearby to suck up all that lovely flux.

Florbs full of flux goo for party favors!
Also filling a Dynamic Tank from DT2 made from a hollowed out Sacred Rubber Sapling with flux goo.

sounds so evil but yet... I will definitely have to try that out.

What causes instability? I thought there were only things that could reduce flux

Remember that aura nodes are active decorations, so if you have your recharging setup right by your infusion altar, it will cause instability. Make sure it is far enough away, or is concentric with it.

P.s. does anyone know if the item pillars themselves have to be symmetrical, or just the items on them, or both?

Both the items and pillars have to be symmetrical IIRC. I assume you mean the items you place in the pillars, mind you. Everything has to be symmetrical.
