Hello! I'm just curious if you can open your Direwolf20 map in the next update? Just like if you could open the Direwolf20 1.5.2 version in 1.6.4, or the 1.6.4 in 1.7.10?

So will I be able to open my Direwolf20 1.7.10 version in the next Direwolf20 1.8.X version when it comes out?

When the DW20 mods get updated to 1.8 there'll be so many changes and conflicts that it's usually better to just start fresh.
Mods can change a lot and new ones added or old ones removed etc.

This is a common question. Worlds are generally not cross-compatible across versions. We all have had to dump our older worlds to play newer versions, that's just the way FTB works.

Everyone else above me who commented are all 100% right. Keep in mind also: the 1.7 pack *just* came out. 1.8 probably won't be around until summer next year. Forge has to update to 1.8. Mod authors have to update to 1.8. A bunch of mods *still* haven't updated from 1.6 yet.

You have enough time to build anything and everything you want in 1.7 twice over before modpacks for 1.8 become a thing.

Alright thanks for all the answers:) I guess I'll just try to copy all my buildings then via McEdit. I guess it should work fine as long as I remove all the items inside that doesn't belong to Vanilla.
