DW20 1.6 + BOP - No thaumcraft trees?

World was created on a fresh 1.0.2 install with BOP biomes enabled. After flying in 1 direction for over 30 minutes, I did not see a single thaumcraft greatwood or silverwood tree, or even a vanilla biome. I know DW20 is a big fan of Thaumcraft, but his S6 videos haven't got up to that point yet. I assume it's the same on his seed.

As far as I know these trees are required to progress via certain parts of Thaumcraft, what exactly are my options? Looks like I may need to make a mystcraft age or something.

I'm having no issue with finding thaumcraft stuff in my world, I'm using the DW20 Season 6 map. With BoP tho it's rare to find vanilla biomes generally.

Great woods should be easy to find. Silverwood trees spawn in magical forests, mystic groves, & mooshroom forests. Probably others but this is just what ive observed.

I'd suggest an expanding spiral search pattern instead of a straight line so thay you cover a wider area anyways.
