Drill requires plates now??

Hey guys,
I'm playing the latest Mindcrack pack and something in there is making the mining drill require refined iron plates, rather than refined iron ingots. It's not Gregtech as far as I can tell, because I've searched the config files and the only thing I found was the option that changes them from refined iron plates to steel plates... So, is there any way I can return the drill to 'normal'?

It is GregTech. You need plates for a lot of the recipes now. Use the plate bending machine.

I suspect removing greg-tech would solve the problem. But then you would be without the stuff he added as well.

Just make a plate bending machine it's not to bad compared to some of his other recipes

Yeah seriously, this is like complaining that making doors requires a crafting table... the plate bending machine barely uses any power, runs very fast, and makes a lot of recipes cheaper than they are in IC2.

New gregtech machines are awesome. They can even do automated output like TE machines, and they can also transfer power to each other without cabling.

This isn't complaining. The OP is simply just asking what the deal is with plates, and asking if he can change it. OP wasn't giving any opinions on it.

Also it's nice to have configs for changes that people may not want. I understand that it's a minuscule thing and I actually like the PBMachine but still.

I love the plate bending machine, I just need to find/make an updated texture patch for FTB Sphax.

They can? I've noticed the machines have buttons with nondescript icons, no tooltips, and no documentation...where does one go to find usage information for them?
