I've put Unbreaking on all of my armour pieces and it doesn't really seem like it makes a difference, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

On another note, I've noticed that my Quantum Helmet seems to prevent poison (from my tropical bees) at the cost of 10000 EU. Is this a feature of the helmet or some combination of armour/enchants I'm using?

I don't think Unbreaking helps one bit.

Quantum helms fix poison along with a few other effects. The upgraded ultimate solar helm does not.

Oh well, I guess the enchantments don't hurt.

Good to know about the helmet, I wasn't planning on upgrading it but I definitely won't now.

unbreaking does nothing but waste time and XP,
Helmet uses EU to nullify potion effects
It SHOULD protect from the effects of unstable myst ages though

It protects against some of them... Just not nearly enough.
Also holy hell, I am swimming in apatite now. Found some in a Ars Magicka maze dungeon on the floor, decided to mine it all. Got several stacks of it now. Should have use Silk Touch at this point.

The durability bar on electric armor is purely visual help for seeing the power level. It gets set by the actual power and it goes from full 25 to 2 when empty. And it's 2 instead of 1 to prevent breaking if the armor gets hit in fast succession as vanilla mechanics still try to damage the armor like any other. It's just that the armor doesn't care about that.
