Does Oil spawn in mystcraft ages?

I used Standard terrain and native Biome controller. Haven't found any oil spawns.

Correct, you may have just gotten unlucky.
They spawn most frequently in ocean

To be honest I find they are just easyer to find in oceans but I find more oil per chunk in deserts.

I've noticed similar mechanics. Unless it was changed in the mod, I think they "naturally" spawn more in the ocean

According to the Wiki, Oil is a page that gets included when Buildcraft is installed.
