Does feather falling work with Boots of the Traveler?

I used infusion enchanting to get my boots of the traveler up to feather falling four. But it doesn't seem to do anything when falling... I still take the same amount of damage from the same heights as before.

The boots of the traveller already have a certain amount of "Feather falling" build in, which is why you are probably finding it hard seeing a difference if there even are any.

Try landing in lava. It prevents fall damage with only minor side effects.

It should if the boots of the traveler are registered properly as boots.

One of our players on the server kindly did feather falling II enchant for my boots, and man I love him for that! Falls that would have otherwise killed me have not... thanks to those... So, anecdotally I would say they ought to work well.
