That is the craziest setup i've ever seen, got dizzy just looking at it. Do you really not have any other pipes?

Nope, gotta stick with good old-fashioned BC pipes. (I'm using a custom modpack with only Thaumcraft, Rotarycraft, Buildcraft, and Railcraft. I wanted to challenge myself by omitting mods such as TE that most people depend on.)

Besides, Buildcraft is the only mod (afaik) that actually lets you watch the items whizz around in the pipes.

If you mean the device that the tangle of essentia pipes all ultimately feed to, it's a Thaumatorium from Thaumcraft.
If you mean the brewing stands, that's Vanilla MC.

The only thing that is NOT automated in this is fuel for the Alchemical Furnaces; for that I'll probably cheap out and copy Dire's method of automating Alumentum.

I wonder if you'd do yourself a favour by switching your furnaces to advanced alchemical with energized nodes. Then you wouldn't have to worry about fueling them AND they'd work much faster than they currently do.

You have no idea how much I wish I could do that. Unfortunately, I haven't found a Primordial Pearl yet, and unless I'm missing something with the Runed Tablet, I think my Outer Lands generated without any bosses.

If there is one, I haven't found it yet, though I feel like I've explored all of the Outer Lands. Besides the tablet, the only things of note I found were rooms containing several pedestals with glyphs and slabs on them, both on the floor and the ceiling, as if you're supposed to put something between the slabs.

Yeah, you can basically ignore that room unless you want the knowledge scroll thingies (which are nice too but not what you're looking for)

You'll know the door when you see it. It has a space in the center that accepts the tablet. Once it opens you'll get a random champion mob, then you'll probably die like I did unless you're way better prepared.

I've only killed a couple of these but they each produced primordial pearls.

Note: the recipe suggests you need two pearls for the furnace, but its not consumed on use for this recipe.

It *is* consumed via some of its other uses, including buffing a node or making the primal hammer thingy.
