I just need some confirmation on something.. I placed about a dozen pure node bearing sivlerwood trees in a taint biome, now that will not convert the whole biome only the area the trees cover? or does it take a very long time?

Also with TWF I placed a Tree of Transformation in that biome as well, would that mess up the silverwood, if you can convert a whole taint biome with silverwood trees.

If it will not convert the biome then i will just place ethereal blooms to rid the surface biome from the map, since taint spread is off.

I did destroy any tainted nodes i saw as well btw.

Pure nodes work in the same way in a tainted biome as they do in a regular biome, ie a 15x15 area around the node is converted to a magical forest biome. It just takes longer because the taint needs to be removed first.

So a tainted biome can be fully converted with 12-15 silverwood trees with pure nodes in them?

Do note that you need to remove the tainted nodes. Look on the surface for them first, but they also affect the surface if they are underground, so make sure to look everywhere.

If your particular tainted biome is approximately that large and you place the saplings strategically, then sure.

Just research etherial blooms, scan a shimmerleaf. You shouldn't need to go too far in to the alchemy tree to get it.
If you don't want to go that route then you may have to contend with the RNG Silverwood pure nodes. That will require a godawful amount of Silverwood saplings.

Haven't tooled around with thay side of magic bees lately. But I was under the impression that the grafters where specifically coded to not work with Silverwood. Unless of course that changed or that only applying to non thaumium grafters.

It is a specific trait of the Thaumium Grafter. It does not work with any of the vanilla Forestry Grafters AFAIK.

And tbh. the Silverwood trees vs. Ethereal Bloom comes down to one thing IMO: Change to Magical Forest vs. revert to original biome.
