Divine RPG Armor not working?

I've been having fun in divine rpg (even if get my butt handed to me on a regular basis.)
I decided to try taking on a mob that had given me previous trouble, a crab that shouldn't bee too hard right? I've got 45% dmg reduction and he only hits for 6 1/2 hearts without armor. BAM more than half my lifebar is gone, In shock I get hit again and die.

I've been having trouble with mobs and it often felt like I should have made a bit more progress but it seems like the armor is glitched, I'm going to try spawning in some of the high tier armor and see if it actually helps any. Anyone else having the same problem?

After trying things out it would seem that unless you have an entire set of X armor it doesn't work, so you might as well not wear mod armor until you have an entire set.

Enchant your armor, the mod was balanced around using enchantments since they can provide up to an extra 80% damage reduction...

It matters what kind of armour you wear. Like Realmite is a bit stronger as diamond. And I got the same problem, I hate crabs.

I am actually having the same problem. And even with the full armor (simple realmite armor, not the realmite block armor), it just does not work.
I have the full armor, all pieces at 5k durability. I fight, receive the exact same amount of damage I would if I was naked, and the armor does not get used. Every piece is still at 5k after the fight.

Then I tried using NEI to cheat myself into a stronger armor (one with durability) to see if it was a global bug or just the first tier of armor (most important if you ever want to start) that was pleaged.
I obtained the same results : no damage reduction, no duration used.

Clearly there's more of a problem than what Hologuardian seems to believe.

The durability counter on armor does not update like it does with tools. Also, I develop the mod, and I've tested the strength of the armors, they do work, however, many of them are weak because we balanced around the fact that players can enchant their armor for extreme damage reduction bonuses.

Oh, OK. I understand then. I'll have to try the mod again then :3

There is just one more question I have :
By "does not update", do you mean there is a display bug (the real counter does go down and the armor will break after 5k uses, but the real value is not displayed for some reason), or there is a bug that makes the armor not lose durability at all (infinite armor uses) ?

I have this problem too. Armor not weak, it completly not working. Realmite armor gives 50% unenchanted and i still getting 7 HP from Enderman and oneshoot from jungle boar, who have 24 damage(as the wiki said).
