I have a direwolf20 Server running, only changes are that I added ForgeBackup because something similar already happened to me once. It's running under linux on my server.

The server just froze and didn't respond anymore. No exception, no feedback, no error message. Ctrl+C was the only thing that worked. However, now my world is on the state of nearly 24 hours ago. The inventory was saved apparently, but it seems the world has not been saved to disk?

I restored a ForgeBackup Backup from 10 minutes prior to the crash, but it also has an old world.

Is there any way to save all the work we've done? :/
Any Ideas why the world has not been saved to the hard-disk? I did not turn it off.

It seems I found the reason for the freeze in a crash_report: NullpointerException in the server-tick-loop from wireless redstone :/

Not really, I just assumed it'd save automatically. I hooked a command block with save-all up to a computer now. But that's kind of an emergency solution until I find a proper one.
(Anybody else having crashes through wireless redstone?)

You should really start a world auto save (plugins, control panels, or manual) to save your world. It is possibly to just remove the mod and restart then put it back to clear the item causing the crash or just regenerate that area with world edit. Also I in response to your latest question (Anybody else having crashes through wireless redstone?) I have seriously considered removing the mod from my server because or constant corruption it has caused me and I feel like the mod author slacked off when making it, and he/she should really learn to test the mod before release. However that last part is just my opinion.

Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I've used /save-all several times, I've had automatic backups. Computercraft crashed and had an out of memory error, I stopped the server (which then froze at the stopping). I waited a few minutes, killed it with ctrl+c (after which it wrote to the console that it saved the chunks and players), restart the server... aaand another day gone.

I checked the latest backup, 10 minutes before the restart, and the region-folder only contains 3 files that have been modified in the last 24 hours. That should be way more. And no, there aren't chunkloaders everywhere. The chunks just aren't beeing saved!

Are you running low on disk space? Perhaps try a different way of saving or a plugin like AutoSaveWorld.

Nope, I got about 15GB free. Read-Write access also is ok.
It looks like at some point he just stops saving the world to the disk, ignoring save-all etc (although he says it was successfull).

Maybe it could be that save-all or save-on messes with it and kinda.. kills the saving?

Well first try using a save plugin, if that doesn't work let me know.

I've been looking for one, but the only ones I found are AutoSave, which seems to be for bukkit, and ForgeBackup, which only backs up the files (which doesn't work with my problem, therefore)

Well, that thing simply does save-all. If it didn't work when I did it per hand, I doubt it'll work by that plugin :)
