I don't know why but I can't seem to get my Direwolf pack to work. I tried Horizons and that works just fine. When I click launch everything goes smoothly until I get to the Mojang screen and it gives me the "Not Responding" text at the top of the window. The console still goes on for about 30 seconds until suddenly both the console and the minecraft (FTB) window close. I can't catch the console text at the end since it closes, but I haven't seen anything. I'm using a lenovo g500, my OS is windows 8, intel core i7, 64-bit system and running 32-bit java.

Hope someone can help me out!

Go to the options and tick "reopen launcher when minecraft exits" this will cause the launcher to open after a crash. You should be able to use the console to post your log.

Try this, I had a similar problem to you this morning where the world wouldn't load and it FTB would just close/crash.
Do the first code then if that doesn't work try the others, the first code worked for me.

Haven't tried the video yet, but just in case, this is what happens to me, only faster:

You log indicates you have ran out of memory. That is because you are using 32 bit java. You need to be using 64 bit java, get the x64 from here. After installing 64bit java you will be able to allocate more memory from the options.

You want to be allocating between 2 to 4gb this will depend on your total system memory because you don't want to starve your system.

Also use the jvm parameters from the link below. Copy and paste into the additional jvm parameters box in advanced options.

Watched the video, try giving FTB more RAM and adding Java Parameters.

He can't do that because of 32 bit java.
