Hello.

Since a few weeks ago i have been using the Direwolf20 modpack (+Mo'creatures mod & optifine) through the FTB Launcher. Ever since i have been having a strange issue. This sometimes happens after ten minutes while other times i can go 5-6 hours without a problem.

The problem occurs after i entered a block which has any kind of inventory (Furnace, Macerator, Chests, etc...)

After i exit these blocks, the world around me freezes. I can still move around but the world is not reacting to anything i do.

For example:

- Right-clicking on blocks like Furnaces, Chests, Crafting Tables, Enchantment tables will not show up the menu it should.
- Breaking blocks will not drop the item it should (visually it does break).
- Pressure plates & buttons do not work after triggering them (pressure plates will stay in a "triggered" state after going of them).
- Mobs are frozen in their spot and cannot be hit.
- New chunks will not be loaded.

When i close the game through the "Save and Quit" option the game will get stuck on 'saving internal server"
When re-entering the world, it will be reset to a few seconds before i entered the inventory that caused the problem.

I have already re-installed the FTB Launcher and the modpack to no success.

So, if anyone had a similar problem and was able to fix this or somebody knows how to fix this, please respond.

Thx for any future help with this issue.

Even without a log I have a good idea as to the cause. Did you do any searching for XyCraft blocks in NEI using the @Mod.XyCraft option? If so then delete your NEI.dat in your saves folder. This guide explains what the error log will look like. It is fixed in 1.5.1, but will not be fixed in 1.4.7

If your console/error log does not look like the one in the guide please post it to pastebin.com and link to it here.

Hi,

Thx for the response Lavarthan, i have indeed searched for Xycraft blocks in NEI, yet i think it might not be that, that is causing the problem.

In my current world i have only had the freeze problem once. I believe it might be caused in some way by Industrialcraft2.

In my previous world i went full out with Industrialcraft machines (macerators, electric furnace, extractors, etc.) and i would have this problem constantly. In my current world however i have been using almost exclusively Thermal Expansion machines. The one time this world did freeze was a few minutes after i placed and used a macerator. i was able to play without a problem for hours before this and after removing the macerator i have been able to play about 10 hours without the problem happening. I have in this world, just like in the previous world used xycraft blocks and searched for xycraft blocks in NEI.

EDIT: Well there goes my theory, just crashed straight after using forestry machines. Log (http://pastebin.com/L24Ptv3T)

/Direwolf20/instMods/OptiFine-HD-U-D3-1.4.7.zip
This is not the most up to date version of Optifine for 1.4.6(7). You want 1.4.6_HD_U_D5, note that this works in 1.4.7 as he did not update for 1.4.7 The place you downloaded Optifine from merely changed the file name to make it easier to understand that it will work for 1.4.7. Click on the 'Older versions:' spoiler below the Ultra version download to get it.

[STDOUT] Memory connection overburdened;
This sounds like a memory problem. Uninstall the 32bit version of Java and any other versions you have in your Control Panel. Then install the 64bit version. Then allocate more than 1GB in the launcher. You should not need more than 2GB unless you have a Hi-Res texture pack. Leave at least 1.5 to 2GB for your OS to function.
