Direwolf20 Map, Ep. 1 Not Installing Properly

Its the Direwolf20 1.6.4 pack.

Its the second time this happens, I download his map, both from the launcher and his homepage on minecraftforums, and it appears first time, I can play but then if i relaunch the game, it looks like this:

What the...... How does this even "work"?!?!

I checked inside the saves folder, and its full of content.

I need to bump this

If you create a new world with the exact same name (make a backup first just in case) it should load in the proper world. I've had this happen a couple of times to me.

Not that I know of. I can't find any reason for it happening besides Minecraft being derpy.

I cant belive how this is even... This is one of the most weirdest crap on Minecraft so far

Just tried it out myself.

• Self-created world saves and loads like it should.
• The map from the launcher won't install correctly. It's just the version file that get's installed (Console stays at "Installing Map"). The save does not show up in the game -> Can you confirm that this happening to you too totte1015?
• The map download on the minecraft forums (LINK) works for me. It doesn't disappear after restarting the game or installing the DW20 Map via the launcher.
• I tried the "PaxChallenge" save and the save folder contained all files. At least it looked like it.

I can confirm that.
It does however appear on my saves folder, but not ingame, not even if I make exact same name of the map and enter it

BUT, now 2nd time it did work as the other guy said, to backup the world, and then enter the new world screen, and enter the exact same name of the one from the forums... BUT, i ended up a...few thousand miles from Direwolfs place... :/

NOPE.
Screw this.

I was hoping this "clone and replace" would work, and it would be as a work-around for this super annoying bug.

But to my dissapointment in noticed if I replaced... lets say a furnace with Iron Furnace, and do some other random stuff, then just save and quit the game, and then join the map again, the old furnace would be there again.

Its like the damn game is set to read only or something...

I will take a break from Direwolfs new pack, its way too buggy and unfinished as it is now... Sad

Worked fine for me when using the download from the minecraft forums. I could place some stuff and it saved it properly.

I'm testing this now. I'm going to let the launcher sit for a while (probably an hour) to see what happens when "Installing Map".

I'll report back when it's done.

For users trying to use the map install, please do as posted above and download the map from the MCF until this issue is resolved.
