hello,

I am running Direwolf20 1.5. i have a problem with the server, i am running on 2.2Ghz with now 13GB DDR2 assigned to this server.

after a while the server CPU load keeps building up and then the server crashes and reboots. Does anyone know where i need to look for a solution?

in the beginning the server runs fine and load is normal.

It sounds like you might want to look at what automation people are doing and also check your crash log. Most likely there is something that is creating the CPU load like an unattended spawner or some sort of automated production. Since you reboot and it clears the issue for a bit I would look towards the spawner thing. Mobs may be building up and taking up resources CPU and after the reset it clears them out and repeats. But with out more info then what you have given I really do not have a idea where to start.

You should probably post here next time for servers.

I agree with Saice, it definitely sounds like some entities spawning rapidly somewhere. Maybe a machine spitting out items or a spawner gone haywire. Can you post the crash and server log? Also, are you running TickThreading? If so you can probably track it down with /ticks or /profile e.
