Solved Direwolf20 5.1.1 client crash on log-in

I'm currently unable to log-on to my server as it crashes the client when I attempt to do so. I've already tried reinstalling the mod pack on both the server and my client but it had no effect. The server was working fine the other night, but I have it set to restart nightly which it has done successfully twice since then. At the moment the only extra mod I have installed is Bechil's Universal TPS v0.4.1.1. The server is being hosted by, and rented from Vortex servers.

The client crash report says that you are running Java version 6, this problem will probably be solved by updating to the latest version of Java (currently 1.7.0_15) on the client's computer.

Updated Java, and the issue still persists. Not sure whats going on as I can load a single-player world just fine. New crash log attached.

New update, tried replacing my local config directory with a copy of the server's but it had no effect. The problem also seems to be localized to my client when connecting to the server.

Further update, tried to load a up-to-date copy of the world in single player and it still crashes...
Amendment to above-after re-downloading and replacing the Redpower config file I'm able to load the world in single player, but I'm still crashing in when I try to log-on to the server.

bump as I'm totally locked out of the server still, and I don't want to have to restart the world again as there are some pretty elaborate builds going.

Tried connecting to another Direwolf20 server, and had no issues so the issue is exclusive to my client and my server not liking each other.

It sounds like your client crashes when attempting to render a certain RedPower item, either in your inventory or in the world based on the crash report. Try resetting your inventory on the server or moving your character to a location such as spawn where there are no RedPower items, and see if this helps at all.

That did it, got rid of the red power items and I"m logged in again. Still would be nice to know why it suddenly stopped working...
