Direwolf20 1.7.10, autocraft advice?

I just started DW's 1.7.10, and worked my way up to a quarry - which of course produces lots of cobble. I'm not ready to make an ae storage network yet, so I want to compress the cobble (extra utils compressed blocks). I thought about piping the blocks to an autocraft table 3x3 to produce the compressed block, and then pumping that to another autocraft table 3x3 to produce double compressed, and so on. That would work, but the tables are dog slow... so no dice?

Advice? I want all cobble to automatically compress.

I always get ME storage on line before starting a quarry, but several of the mods should have something like an auto crafting table or auto packager, if you can figure out what each mod calls theirs.

Packager! That was what I used before. I couldn't think of the name, and there's so many items that flipping through didn't jog my memory. But that will definitely work.

I know what you mean about the me network. I usually get one up quick as I can too, but I'm trying different things this time. Normally I get quantum armor as quickly as I can too, but I'm going with modular power suits this time. (Not impressed so far...)

Steve factory Manager can auto craft a diamond chest worth of Cobblestone into compressed and into double compressed and so on in one second.

Evillevi, using what? I'll Google it at lunch, but sounds perfect, and I haven't used Factory Manager (so I'm interested).

IIRC FZ packagers only make about one crafting operation per second. If your quarry is faster, EnderIO has a powered crafter, which should be upgradable with capacitors for nice speed.

A word of warning, the SFM manager uses the whole inventory at one go. FUnctionally a DSU or a barrel only has one active inventory while a diamond chest has a lot more than just one inventory sapce. So you'll want to use chests rather than barrels to make stuff with

Ah, thanks - good to know. I do have an arse load of barrels sitting around, but I'm using ender io to pump the blocks around - but since I can't use the ender io pipes to connect to the machine inventory manager, I had decided on piping into a chest.

You can't pipe items into or out of a machine inventory manager. The manager can work with inventories adjacent to it or connected via inventory cables.
