So lately ive downloaded the latest ftb launcher and updated direwolf20 to 1.6.4, according to my friend who has it succesfully launched and downloaded, everything (console) loads up just fine, but once the minecraft screen pops up (mojang screen), after a few seconds the launcher says its not responding. ( note that during when the launcher pops up the console is still loading stuff in like files and downloads) I have java 64bit and i am running 2.5 ram on the ftb launcher.[DOUBLEPOST=1388293943][/DOUBLEPOST]i have forge mod loader installed, if that has anything to do with the problem

Your post begs the question what do you mean by updated direwolf20 to 1.6.4. Do you mean an old map? If you do that is not recommended and not really possible as a lot of the mods have changed and some are no longer in the pack.

If you did not try this then please post a console log to pastebin.com by going to the options and checking 'Show console?' and 'Reopen launcher after exiting minecraft?' This will ensure that the console will show the error even if the game quits on you. Now click on the 'Paste my log to pastebin.com' button on the console after the console reopens. This will add a link at the bottom of the log to where your log was saved. Please post that link here. If the button does not work please manually post the contents of the log to pastebin.com and provide us the link that it gives. If the console does not reopen then check your DW20 folder and see if there is an error log in there and if so please post that to pastebin instead.

I see no real error just yet in the log. Please try letting it run overnight if you have to or while at work. These new mod packs take a while to download and/or install. Wish I could give you more of a definite answer. I guess I should have said this earlier, I just re-read your post and it should have been obvious after reading that the console was still putting out information. Sorry.

I did that once, i let it just run.... it closed off the minecraft launcher like nothing happened and the console was still there. Not sure if this is important but... i tried running the previous direwolf20 version, i managed to get into the game no problem but none of the mods were downloaded :p, i saw it download all the mod packs but once i got in it was vanilla minecraft

It is always recommended that you use the recommended version of the mod pack, unless you need another to join a server. That is the most tested to be bug free. I wish you'd provide a console log of the one you left on over night. Oh well please try letting it install over night again. Then post the resulting console log. As for the 'coming up as vanilla' bug I've heard of this and experienced it once before, but it was so long ago that I do not remember what I did to fix it or what caused it. Hope that this time it is fixed.

Post the log from the location below.

i can try but usually after that it crashes and closes down[DOUBLEPOST=1388521182][/DOUBLEPOST]

Okay so when i went into my computer to C:\Users\roaiggrgthh\Downloads\Direwolf20_1_6_4\minecraft\hs_err_pid3564.log, it said there is insufficient memory to continue loading... So what should i do about that?

Is that when you try and post to pastebin? If so then post it here but use spolier tags. If you don't know then google it. Don't just post a wall of text.

I have a similar issue, but for me it doesn't even get to the mojang screen, it just closes the launcher and console and quits the program after a flash of yellow text in the console and I don't even have time to catch it to put it on pastebin.

Tick the "reopen launcher when minecraft exits" button then you will be able paste the log.

Nope, its not when i try to pastebin, it just closes down nonetheless, even if i just left it running it would close down :/

If you mean the console closes then go to the options and make sure that "reopen launcher after minecraft exits" is ticked. You will now be able to click the pastebin button in the console.

I took a look at what you posted monday (there's nothing from you on tuesday posted there) and I just got around to updating the LWJGL today (my router has been acting up this past week). Oh, and I have a new crash pastebin post http://pastebin.com/w7KEFNUQ . So, yeah, it didn't work. :(

LaunchFrame.installMods:1266: debug: installMods: install path: /Users/gsmsnr/Applications
I do not own a Mac so I cannot be sure, but I believe the cause is where you installed the packs. Try putting the launcher on your desktop in its own folder. Now open the launcher and click on the Options tab. Now change the text in the text box next to 'Install folder...' to '/Users/gsmsnr/Desktop' or where ever you desktop is on the Mac.
