If you still have problems, do what I did. When you open the launcher, click on the Direwolf20 1.6.4 pack and navigate to the
Options tab. Then click on
Advanced Options and where it says
Additional Java Parameters type:
-Xms256M -Xmx5120M -XX:NewRatio=3 -XX:SurvivorRatio=3 -XX:TargetSurvivorRatio=80 -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=8 -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=10 -XX:GCPauseIntervalMillis=50 -XX:MaxGCMinorPauseMillis=7 -XX:+ExplicitGCInvokesConcurrent -XX:+UseCMSInitiatingOccupancyOnly -XX:CMSInitiatingOccupancyFraction=60 -XX:+BindGCTaskThreadsToCPUs -Xnoclassgc
The bolded parts of that code are where you would put however much RAM you would like to allocate in
MBs! I also have 8GB or RAM and that is what I used. After that, go to
Control Panel/System and Security/System/Advanced System Settings. Then click on
Environment Variables and delete the
_Java_Options code. After that, go to
Control Panel/Programs/Java and navigate to the
Java tab. Click
View and in the
User tab, you should have
1.7 in the platform section. If you have anything in the
Runtime Parameters section, delete it and then click
OK, then
Apply, and
OK. Now just restart your computer and everything should be fine!
