Operating System, bit type: Vista 64 bits
Java version/update, bit type: Java 7 Update 51, I m not 100% on the Bit; but pretty sure its 64 bit
Launcher version: 1.3.4
Completed the troubleshooting guide (y/n): yes, not sure if I did it correctly though
Console log, pastebin.com link: http://pastebin.com/CL6cWdzH
Description of the problem: I am currently playing on 1.5.2 with a friend but we tried to upgrade to the last version of 1.6.4 and every time I try to launch it, after awhile my launcher crash.

Sry I have very limited knowledge on this stuff, I tried to re-install everything, even the original minecraft several times. I did ALL the updates I could possibly do, I have no idea what else to do then I ve found this website. Sry if it's a really dumb mistake of mine, as I said; I m pretty bad in this.

Thank you in advance !

2014-02-02 23:32:18 [Infos] [STDOUT] JVM Flags: 4 total; -Xms256M -Xmx3072M -XX:permSize=256m -Xmx512m
Bolded for reference. You have two -Xmx flags, the second is a global variable that is overriding the one set by the FTB Launcher.

Fix: Right click on 'Computer' and go to Properties. Under Advanced tab, click on "Environment Variables". In the System variables area, look for a variable with Java in its name and delete it.
