Direwolf20 1.12 Server Issues

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Hey fellow Minecraftians. I am hosting a server with Shockbyte and I'm trying to install the Direwolf20 1.12 server pack but when I make a map all modded content is missing. The game runs and I can see the mods on the server, but there are no mystical flowers, no bee hives, no Astral Sorcery temples, you don't get any of the books you're supposed to start with, and there aren't even any NPC villages. I spent an hour flying around several worlds and eventually imported a world that had all these things but when I entered on the server they were all gone.

Anyone have an idea of what is going on and how to fix it?

I have no clue how shockbyte does their things - can you explain the steps you take to install the mod pack, and perhaps we can spot what's missed?

I would remove everything and start over, also:

Step 4 in their guide:

I would go for ServerStart.bat and actually start up the server locally as well - this will trigger FTBInstall as well.

1st time you run it it will create a eula.txt file and then stop, close the command window and open the eula.txt and change false to true (if you accept the eula).

Then run ServerStart.bat again, and wait until the server is running - you could try and connect to it locally as well to see that things are as they should be - enter localhost as server address.

Then close the server (use the command "stop" in the console window and wait until it's safe to close)

When you know everything is working, upload to the hoster according to their instructions - and if you still have issues after that you need to contact the hoster for further support.
