Direwolf20 1.12 Modpack netherstarfarm????

Hey there, i've been struggling getting my first automatic netherstar farm in the direwolf20 1.12 modpack. I saw on youtube that direwolf20 did it with astral sorsery, but i don't wanna do it that way. Is there actually any, i dont care what or how, is there any other way to make a automatic netherstarfarm?
If yes, please help me hihi

Uhh... sure, there's several ways to set up an automatic neither star farm. And really the only thing that Astral Sorcery did for the build was speed things up a bit. You can do the same thing with bellthornes from Botania if you prefer.

Or, yanno... here's an idea. Come up with your own wither farm instead of trying to copy someone else's design, so you can brag about it? Yanno, just a thought.

Yeah well i actually tried making my own one several times last evening but it ended up not working and when it did work, a wither flew out and blew some things up so i just quit. So tbh i dont really mind copying one, because making my own is out of my knowledge/skill in feed the beast. So if u do know one basic way, i would like to hear it.

Several of the top tier Environmental Tech materials are witherproof, if I'm not mistaken. (Or thinking of a previous version) That should provide the necessary cage. Then use Actually Additions lasers with the damage lens (name escapes me) to kill it.

Look in RF Tools for Shield projector tier 1 and Shield Template
Make 2 projectors and stack them
Touching the bottom one put a 7x7 layer of templates then click on the projector and set it to all/solid.
Touching the top projector build a 6 tallx7x7 room. Click this projector and set it to Hostile/SolDmg and Player/Pass

Supply both with power and then right click with either the Thermal Crescent Hammer or the RFTools wrench.

This will make a 5x5x5 room with a solid floor and walls that will damage your wither but pass you through with no issues.

Once you get a few wither stars I would suggest collecting the bits to make a Draconic Mob Grinder, this will kill the withers as soon as they are built.
And an Industrial Forgoing Wither Builder(might not be the right name just check JEI for Wither). Supply this block with power, SoulSand and Wither Skulls and it will build Wither Bosses at speed for the Draconic Grinder to kill off. Add an Actually additions Ranged collectors to pick up all the goodies and 4 stacks odf sand and 3 stacks of skulls become a stack of stars in no time flat.
