Direwolf20 1.12.2 problem with optifine

Everything loads fine but as soon as it leaves the loading screen and I can start to see my arm in game it freezes for a second and closes and shows the error.

The game crashed whilst rendering chunk
Error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1

have close to 7GB dedicated to the game
