Direwolf20 1.10 Pack Major Framerate Issue

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Direwolf20 1.10 Pack Major Framerate Issue

Launcher Type FTB Launcher

Modpack FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.10

Modpack version 1.1.4

Have you modified the pack? Yes

Link to log file I removed Journeymap to see if it fixed the issue I had been experiencing.

Details of the issue When I load into a world in the new Direwolf20 1.10 pack, I experience a consistent framerate of 1-2 fps. The framerate drop is only present when I am in a world, my framerate is high both when the game is paused and when I am at the main menu. When searching for a solution, I came across a post by Luminus in which he described an issue similar to mine. Luminus stated that he fixed the issue by disabling the Journeymap mod in the pack he was using, so I did the same, but saw no results. I even threw the disabled file out of the modpack's folder after my first few tests to see if the issue was fixed. I still have a framerate of 1-2 fps despite removing Journeymap, and I surely can't be the only one experiencing this issue, so I would appreciate any advice on the topic.

I am running the correct version of Java for my operating system and it is updated to the latest version. On the subject of specs, I have never had trouble running modded Minecraft before, nor many other games, for that matter. Either way, I don't think a hardware related issue could cause me to run a voxel-based game at 1 fps, regardless of the extra processing power needed to run the mods included in the pack.

Alright, thanks for hearing me out about this, I hope someone can help me and others find a solution.

Well, fair enough, but you get the point: The amount of mods in the pack isn't capable of causing a framerate drop which brings me to 1 fps. The issue is being caused by something else.

How much ram do you have allocated? Should be no less than 4GB.

I have 4.75GB set as my maximum RAM. The Direwolf20 pack is the only pack I have installed right now, so as far as I know, RAM shouldn't be the issue.
Thanks for your reply, I forgot to mention RAM in the post itself.
