Direwolf20 1.10 Mob Spawning question.

I play Direwolf20's 1.10 mod pack and created an Enderman farm (Endermite design, no Cursed Earth) in The End. The area there is chunk loaded, however it looks like mobs only spawn when I am in The End.

- What can I do to keep mobs spawning even when I am in the overworld (beside adding Cursed Earth)?
- On 1.7 I was able to have mobs permanently spawn even without me being around as long as the chunk was loaded and was in another dimension. Did that change in 1.10?

Your mob farm design relies on vanilla spawning mechanics - meaning that mobs will only spawn over 22 blocks away each time it does a pass. This means that mobs wont spawn in dimensions that a player is not in, unless they are force spawned by a spawner of some sort. Your best option is using that enderman farm to get enough pearls and a head to make a powered spawner from EnderIO or to make the resurbed spawner from Actually Additions or else just leave it as is, and come back to make the lewts - tbh, you shouldn't need that much enderpeals that a looting III sword on your farm for 10-15 minutes shouldn't fix especially before you have automated mob farms - for your endermite farm, make sure its over 100 blocks away into the void I usually go a few hundred blocks just to make there are no other spawnable areas nearby so all the mobs get concentrated to your spawn platform.
