Direwolf vs Monster question

This is regarding the 1.64 version mod packs.

When I am playing Monster and I chop all of the wood from a tree it immediately loses all of the leaves but with Direwolf it happens gradually over time. I prefer the Monster way and my question is what mod does this so that I may add it to Direwolf.
