Tried Re-download and file is still 0kb.
looked in original downloaded zip that gets saved and the src file is empty
Checked in the server download file as well and its also empty here to.

The file being empty only seems to trigger the 1 error in the console about it being unable to read/load
Maybe it is not actually required?
I spawned in some of the items from the mod and they all seemed to work well at least they didn't trigger a crash.

Hopefully this isn't a problem at all.

Whats the bug? When I try to open the pack it opens gets to the mojang screen sits there for a while. then suddenly boom everything FTB Closes i was spamming the pastebin button and this was the last one i got off before the console shut off
Can it be repeated? Yes, each time I try to launch

Bug: unknown keep running into issues where the FTB launcher will crash completely or ill get kicked from the server saying minecraft has ran out of memory.
Repeated? : Yes, this happens every time.

you are getting an out of memory error.
Try allocating more in the FTB launcher config.[DOUBLEPOST=1386741658][/DOUBLEPOST]

Your error message only shows 1gb allocated

Memory: 510152416 bytes (486 MB) / 1046937600 bytes (998 MB) up to 1046937600 bytes (998 MB)

Double check if you have actually got the 6gb set.



Alternatively try using and forcing 64bit java.
Get 64bit java from the java website and to make sure ftb launcher uses 64bit java set the -d64 option in the extra java settings.

yea sorry forgot im on a diffrent system this comp only has a 32 bit OS and from reading your KB i cant allocate anymore ram..anything i can do to fix this issue ...i only have the problem with dw20's mod pack i was using new horizons just fine.
also dont know if it helps but pulled this from the MC log

Just from loading it up it seems that the DW20 1.6.4 pack needs at least 1.5gb just to launch. Once launched it seems to drop back down to 1.1gb. So unless you can allocate at least 1.5gb to the game of free memory i don't think there would be any other solution. On my machine it seems to peek at 2gb just sitting in the menu.

under the Options Menu there is "ram Maximum(MB) set it to atleast 2gb.
But if your machine doesn't have 2gb to spare then i doubt there will be any way to run the modpack on that machine.

Bug: I can load the pack fine, get to the menu, but when I create a new worl, it just doesn't create and if I look at the console, you can see it has crashed.
Repeated: every time, can't create a worl
Fix: N/A

Is there any particular reason why this new 1.6 pack seems to be so much more CPU-intensive than previous modpacks?

You can allocate more than 1gb of ram if you have 32bit java and you can't install 64bit on a 32bit os.[DOUBLEPOST=1386767541][/DOUBLEPOST]

I found this thread on the mcforge forums. Try this and see if it works.

You did not post your log and the ftb launcher only supports java 7 not 8. Remove version 8 and install the latest java 7 here.

Whats the bug? Pack won't open. I have downloaded it but it just won't open.
Can it be repeated? Yes, I've tried re downloading the pack, but it still wont open.

I can load 1.5.2 Packs just fine but no 1.6 packs will open.

What is the bug? Everytime when i tryd to open the Research Table (Thaumcraft 4) my game crash.
Can it be repeated? Yes

I had to remove Thaumic Tinkerer to open the Research Table, I think theres a error with this mod.

running windows 7 32bit. Unable to get more than 1gb of memory... have a total of 4 installed. I cannot install 64bit java because its a 32bit os. let me know what else is needed. thank you.
