I believe this crash is related to the Hats mod. Back up your world then try removing the Hats and HatStand mods.

Just for reference i just ran the launcher again but this time selected the Monsters mod pack, Downloaded the content and launched the game. Create a new world and it loaded up. I collected a little wood to begin my new adventure and then it crashed. This to me shows it is not the direwolf pack at fault here but either something which is included in both or a java issue?

I would post the Paste bin but when i tried it gave me this error. "You have exceeded the maximum file size of 500 kilobytes per paste. PRO users don't have this limit!"[DOUBLEPOST=1392927745][/DOUBLEPOST]My bad i was trying to post the Minecraft log not the server crash file. anyway here is the pastebin

This is an error I have seen numerous times and is caused by your av program. Add an exception the folder, in bold below, to your av program and be sure to check any boxes regarding sub folders. If you don't know how then google 'add an exception to [your av program here].

Oops just realised I forgot to mention the folder. It your case it was the one below. If you did that one it will cover both of the packs. I assume you did that because you got it working. :)
