Windows .exe Didn't you know my first post would be here? (No mods downloaded)

To put it simply, none of the mods have downloaded, despite the ~31k download when I updated.

What I've tried:
Reinstalling
Changing directories
Installing to a fresh directory
Launching numerous times while slamming my head uncountable times on the keyboard
Forcing a new update
Rushing in a panic to backup my save
Crying

Any help would be appreciated, but helpful help would especially help!

I would prefer to use the .EXE, and I'd rather not swap if I'm making an obvious mistake, or if it's a bug yet to be ironed out.

I tried the jar, it says the forge zip is "either in unknown format or damaged"

Sure, but it's disabled unless I manually scan something.

It seems like an issue with the FTB servers.
For some reason they aren't playing nicely with some slow connections or something.
Have yet to see any fix exept for just waiting til it starts working again or getting the files from someone else.

That was sort of my point, it seems to be a temporary problem that no one but creeperhost.net can do anything about.

No, and this has only affected me since the last two updates, the first time I downloaded the modpack it worked fine, but now it doesn't work even with a fresh install.

Could be your internet speed. There seems to be a problem with downloading/updating when you have bad connections

Thanks, do you know if someone has/could set up an alternate download (Dropbox, mediafire, etc.) so that we could manually download the files?

Sadly it isn't allowed with alternative downloads that the FTB team haven't put out themselves since only they have the lisense to distribute the FTB pack.
Getting it from a friend or someone you know should be fine though i guess.

I don't know anyone else that has it, but the team should look into putting one out. Love the modpack, just can't play it.

I'm having the same exact issue. Its a slow download if you force update. Also I disabled the antivirus and firewall. No change. Tried it on the mac. Same thing. Im sure its just a bug somewhere, and im willing to wait for a fix. Its worth it.
