However, you can get COMPLETE customization. And pacman as a package manager.

Do you use the arch wiki? I used it, even when on Ubuntu. It's much better than the UB one.

I have not yet, I must say that all the information that I needed to get everything set up was rather easy to find. Someday I just need to get the open source drives to work on my desktop but in the meantime these work fine.
