Hardly useless with the Interdimensional Batbox thing.

That's an insane cost for a few crystals in the end. 4 AESU's + other materials, you wouldn't be able to actually make it before it's redundant unless it's putting out say... 2k + for the crystals ><

But is'nt difficulty the point of free energy?

Yeah same here, although I find it less annoying since you get exp for mining etc... If you play SSP you could simply throw Enchanting Plus in the mods folder, works like a charm for me...
ThaumCraft 2 had a device for applying specific enchants to stuff. In my opinion that was a little too easy. (I don't know what your mod does to compare.)

I never found getting one specific enchant (e.g. "any silk touch") even in vanilla particularly difficult or tedious. It gets worse when you want something like sharpness 4 + looting 3 + no fire aspect or knockback sword or something.

I found the old system ridiculous. 50 levels on the old scale (level 10 back then took longer than level 30 now, nothing from ores etc.) with no increased chance for 2 enchants on tools @ max!

.. do it like i do it every time..
some gear, doesnt really matter what, 2-3stacks for arrows, a good enchanted bow, and then go into the end ...
shoot at the towers and get them to explode, then concentrate on the dragon...
maybe even bring some instant-heal or golden apples with you
I never really had a problem with the draggon...

Think we could silk touch one of them off the pillar or something?
Considering they explode when touched, I don't think that's possible.

On topic, I once found the End Portal, then proceeded to stupidly stare into it contemplating whether I should go or not, 5 seconds later I decided against it only to be pushed in by a silverfish. So there I was in the middle of The End with only a nano helmet, an electric jetpack, nano leggings, nano boots, and a nano saber, in other words, absolutely no ranged weapons, I found my strategy to be pretty effective. First, take out all beacon things that recharge the dragon's health (if you're going to leave a few for GregTech power, good luck with that), second, always look up to the sky, and in the event of Enderman attack, just jetpack onto the obsidian pillars, next, head to the center of The End main platform, finally wait for him to charge at you, and turn on the saber, while dodging with the jetpack if you can, a few moments before to properly hit him with the saber several times in a row, repeat until he dies. Through that method you can't be knocked off into the void, it might be close several times, but I ultimately killed him in only one attempt using this way.

I'm waiting for someone to say they've defeated the Dragon using pure magic from the Magic World. But I'm sure the mods there (EE3 and Ars Magica to be added) have awesome weapons, armor, spells to defeat the bugger. I've never defeated any boss in Vanilla and I'm sucking all the information in from this thread :p

I tried it, thaumium helmet, chestplate, leggins boots sword, shovel, wand of lightning, and some dirt.(admittedaly that dirt wasn't magical... :D ). First made dirt pillars to destroy crystals with wand. Then i switched to sword, because the wand seemed to have big spread as a often angered enderman around when i attack dragon with it. The dragon often hit me while i attacked him with sword, but that was OK, because you regenerate quite quickly and dragon attacks sparingly. And if you ran low on health, you could always avoid his attacks because of his attack mechanism until you regenerated. Even better would be to have health potions as you could heal yourself in between attacks.

Reall,y the only problematic part about it is when you ager endermen. I suggest bringing water with you.

It's definitively OP, it basically lets you choose exactly the enchants you want, including mod enchants... But I really hate wasting good tools and armor... It's very handy for getting specific multiple enchants like you stated or for enchanting expensive mod stuff...

It would be nice to have an option to remove enchantments from an item, so you would only lose the XP, but can reenchant your item.

You can do that using the Uncrafting Table from Twillight Forest, at the cost of a few levels.

Better Enchanting also has a disenchant button, I never tried that, but I think you get the XP back...

Thanks, I'll try that table then.
Better Enchanting sounds a bit too OP. I just want a middle way between vanilla (costs level and items until you got what you want) and choosing the enchants directly.
Even something like enchanting books with a source item choosing the range of available enchants would be nice. Put a pickaxe in a sample slot, a book in the target slot and receive a random enchant on the book, chosen like the vanilla enchanting table would choose for a pickaxe.
Hmm... I think I read something similar somewhere. Grml, me and my sieve of a memory.
