Cyclic Assembler Problems... [Solved]

I can't place anything in the "Schematic" section of the CA, whatever I try to place in the little crafting grid just falls on the floor. I am probably doing something completely wrong, seeing as I've watched more then a few videos on how to use it and I still can't.

I'm trying to make some IC2 coolant cells which require 4 tin plates and a water container, but whenever I try to place the Tin Plates in the crafting section I just throw them on the floor. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It's a problem with NEI, or at least NEI is involved

What you do is you open your inventory and press "O". This will turn off the NEI screen, now open the assembler and put in your pattern. When it's done, enable NEI again by pressing "O".

Yep that was the problem, thanks. I knew it was something stupid like that that I was missing.
