Custom Mod Pack Recommendations?

I'm working on making a custom mod pack for me and a couple of friends but were looking for good mods to add in. We mostly like technical mods for 1.6.4 as Industrial Craft 2 Expiremental has changed IC2 quite a bit and looking for other technical packs. Also just cool mods in general. Thanks for any replies!
 
Start with one of the existing mod packs. then add and subtract mods from there. Ive only played DW20 so im biased towards that one.
 
I suggest using TPPI. Unless you REALLY want to build your pack from the ground up, in which case, I suggest using TPPI as a base.

Ok I looked through the mods and i'm going to use it. But I have 1 question is it possible to take the TPPI pack from FTB to multimc? I find MultiMC a bit easier.

Actually yes, you can. Make a new MultiMC Instance but leave it blank except for the correct version of forge, then copy the whole TPPI folder from FTB to this new instance. I did this before and called that Instance "TPPI Rip", creative bugger that I am.
 
Since all my other go to mods have been spoken for, try Blood Magic and Ender IO.

What do you mean by copy the whole TPPI folder from FTB to this new instance? I made the instance but would I copy the contents of the TPPI folder to the instance or just the TPPI Folder itself?

Contents, yes. Well, it's a mild bit complicated, you have to copy everything from inside the TPPI/minecraft folder to your (instance)/minecraft folder. If nothing is worried about being overwritten, you've made a mistake.

I did this but it will never load
