Hi all.

I've recently run into a problem where it seems my launcher/computer is having problems with anything related to CPW's config files. For some reason, it thinks they are already open somewhere and can't access them. Each time I attempt to start the Unleashed pack, for example, I'll get a crash like this one:

http://pastebin.com/kEQABP9n

This particular one is involving ChickenChunks.cfg, but others have listed NEI.cfg or WirelessRedstone.cfg as the culprit followed by "The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open."

Just to add...

I've been running on Java Version 7 Update 40, until recently when I downgraded to Version 6 while trying to troubleshoot this.
Also, sometimes the launcher itself while loading up will throw the same kind of error in the console while downloading all the packs and such.
Not to single out CPW's stuff (he's awesome!!) but each time I attempt to load the game, a different config file gets picked for the crash. Even CodeChickenCore has been in there a few times.

I just helped someone just a moment ago with this same error. It is normally caused by an AV program that keeps the file from being read by minecraft. Try temporarily disabling your AV and/or try making an exception in your AV for minecraft and the launcher. Look here under the section 'Other USEFUL information:' for some more info about certain AV programs.

You need to be using the latest java with windows. In another thread someone mentioned that there av could be causing the problem. Try a force update as well.
